Testing positive means 14-day confinement

Any case of a Premier League player or club staff member testing positive for coronavirus means 14-day confinement, away from group training. As Premier League is scheduled to restart June 17, all who test positive this week could be ruled out from the opening round.

With Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal set to open Premier League action, any player who tests positive on Tuesday (June 2nd), will certainly miss the opening round.

No positive tests for coronavirus after the fourth round

The fourth and latest round of testing didn´t have positive tests, according to the Premier League. This was the first round after all Premier League clubs agreed to return to contact training, as well as the government giving the green light for the live competitive sport to return behind closed doors.

In the first three rounds, a total of 12 people tested positive.
