A player to rule the next decade?

The idea that Erling Haaland will be one of the players to rule the next decade is something that’s almost stuck in everyone’s heads. Why shouldn’t he? The player who made an incredible impression on his first Champions League campaign with Salzburg has been bought by European powerhouse, Borussia Dortmund. Ruled as one of the most talented players of his generation, along with Kylian Mbappé, Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz, Erling Haaland has reached this stage not only because of that but also because his work ethic is almost incomparable.

His former coach, Erase Steenslid, even said that the Borussia Dortmund player was designed in a lab. His impressive physique changed over time. The strict diet he had, along with his will to workout every single day, led him to obtain much faster results than the average person.

Steenslid said: 'His body responds so well to training because his genetics are privileged.
'He achieved 12 kilos of muscle in 15 months. It was phenomenal. We built his muscle from scratch. He was always the closest to the buffet and his plate was literally a mountain of food.'

Haaland's prowess

Not only Erling Haaland’s physically stronger than most of the defenders he faces week in and week out, but his agile movements help him be a predator around the goal. Much like Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Radamel Falcao.

The soon phenom has already bounced the opposition’s net for 12 times in 13 appearances for his current club. But combined, he already scored a stunning 41 goals since the beginning of the year. It was clear from a young age, that Haaland’s work ethic and enjoyment for the sport, would lead him to something great down the line. Should we expect him to continue with his rise to the top in the remaining matches of the year? Or will Erling Haaland slow down his goal-scoring tally for Dortmund and look normal once again? One thing is certain, he has all the tools to be one of the World’s best in years to come.
